This is an extremely special end of year post for me, as it’s the first year I’ve ever devoted one entirely to families. Family is such a passion of mine; as I mentioned in my 2015: Weddings post, I’ve been working hard over the last couple of years to really grow the family photography side of my business, and in 2015 it has really soared and become every bit as important to me as the weddings.

Photographing families is, quite simply, a complete ball. I genuinely could not love it more. Babies and kids make my heart leap and my soul sing, and capturing their hilarious and fascinating little characters as they change and grow is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I’ve always loved photographing character and personality, and little dudes have it by the bucketful… and as for emotions… it’s hard not to well up yourself sometimes when you see the way those mums and dads look at their children.

So here are some of my highlights from this year’s family photography – having a look through I think it’s hard not to see why I love spending time with these little guys and gals so much. They are just the most fun in the world. Thank you so much to all the families who let me share a little slice of their lives this year – I have loved taking these photographs for you and truly treasure every minute I’ve spent with you all.
