I’M ANNA

Food-obsessed, adventure-loving mum-of-two from sunny Manchester

… Navigating the chaos of family life with my pair of hilarious chatterboxes, 18 year old Joe (kind-hearted, inherited my ‘human dustbin’ attitude to food) and 9 year old Huey (arty Star Wars fan, favours more of a ‘baked beans or get lost’ approach).

After 15 happy years in the industry, I’m proud to be one of the country’s leading family photographers, working with amazing families and kids’ brands all over the UK, as well as running workshops, courses and mentoring for other photographers, helping them to develop and grow their own businesses.

When I’m not taking pictures…

…I love any kind of adventure, overseas or closer to home – camping, campervanning, train journeys, festivals, snowboarding, forest walks, any kind of exploring, seeing new places and doing new things… In my early 20s I used to spend happy weekends jumping out of aeroplanes… 20 years later I’m now back in a daft jumpsuit retraining to get my skydiving licence and having the occasional flying lesson too (hello midlife crisis!)

I live with my two boys, but share lots of happy times, laughs and campervan adventures with a mischievous long-haired Scouse-Welsh hybrid called Gary who has no idea I like to think of his campervan as my own, and due to his persistent reluctance to go ‘online’ will most likely never find out.

I LIVE FOR FOOD + CAN USUALLY BE FOUND…

…eating, cooking or planning what I’m going to eat/cook next. There are few things more joyful to me than sharing good scran with dear friends and family, and my reputation for being a gannet once saw me win an eating competition against a 6ft unit of a man known to his mates as ‘Shrek’.

When I’m not filling my face I’m also partial to karate, tattoos, running, writing, crochet, music, good gigs, chunky jewellery, action & horror films, stationery-collecting, dorky list-making and going out dancing with my precious tribe of hilarious gals.

Stories are up there with food as one of the biggest loves of my life, and bliss to me is curling up in bed with a brew and a good book (paper not Kindle). In a past life I was a secondary school English teacher and thoroughly enjoyed foisting plenty of books onto hordes of unsuspecting teenagers. Cuddling up and reading to my sons is something I could do for days on end without getting bored. I believe sniffing pages and stroking book jackets is perfectly acceptable.
