For the last few months family shoots have sadly not been feasible while we all hunkered down keeping each other safe. In recent weeks I’ve had a lot of enquiries from families keen to capture their lovely clan as they are right now. While lockdown might pause many things, life doesn’t wait… Babies have been born, families have been growing and changing… It’s made us all so much more aware of time running away, and of the need to stop, appreciate and remember these special times before they pass.
For all these reasons I’ve been desperate to say yes to shoots but it’s been so important to me to hold out arranging any until I felt confident I’d not be putting anyone at risk. However, I’m delighted to announce that with infection rates and guidelines now easing….
??? OUTDOOR FAMILY SHOOTS ARE NOW ON!
I’ve opened up my calendar to book in family shoots from July onwards (NB just outdoors initially). I’m beyond excited to be able to capture families enjoying adventures, happy times and freedom together during this crazy, unique year, after being in this tough old hibernation for so long.
⚡️ WHEN AND WHERE?
For July and August, these will be outdoor shoots only, socially distanced. I’ll bring my daft long lens and we can all head out exploring somewhere special to you or we can hang out and chill in your garden. I’m aware that the government guidelines allow me to visit you in your home – but I really want to err on the side of caution with this and it doesn’t yet feel quite right to me to do this. I hope you understand. My absolute priority is the safety and health of your family and my own family.
Hopefully by September, we’ll have some really positive news and it will become safe and possible to start shooting indoors too. I’ll of course continue to regularly reappraise these timescales according to the Covid situation, and for the foreseeable future while everything is changing so rapidly it’s no problem at all for indoor/outdoor arrangements to be flexible and for shoot dates to be rescheduled backwards or forwards free of charge according to circumstances at the time.
Onwards and upwards, really looking forward to freer times ?? ? ?
Take care folks
