Camera Crew
Want to make some magic with your ‘fancy’ camera without getting tangled up in the tech?
The Camera Crew is here to help you grab your camera with confidence, unlock your creativity and learn to document the good times and the people you love with beautiful, artistic images you’re proud to hang on your walls.
You've got a fancy camera but you're stuck on 'Auto' and aren't sure about the other settings, so usually just end up taking pics with your phone instead
You enjoy taking pictures of your family and friends but want to be able to take more natural, candid images where they don’t feel or look awkward
When you do use your camera, you often miss moments or feel frustrated that the pictures are blurred or don’t do the subject or moment justice
You'd love to do something other than point and shoot, but you’re busy, the buttons & dials are confusing and you don’t have much time or inclination to wade through a boring instruction manual
You’d love to create more artistic images but you’re not sure where to start and sometimes worry you’re not creative enough

Hey there folks, I’m Anna, photographer and mentor living in sunny Manchester, proud mum to hilarious chatterboxes 18 year old Joe and 8 year old Huey.
After 15 happy years as a professional photographer, I’m now one of the country’s leading family photographers, working with amazing families and kids’ brands all over the UK and overseas (you can check out my work here if you want to!)
I’ve also spent the last few years running workshops, courses, communities and mentoring for other professional photographers, helping them to develop and grow their own businesses.
Simple things that make ALL the difference
You might think I trained in photography but I didn’t. I actually didn’t even pick up a ‘proper’ camera until 3 years before I set up my photography business! When I first started taking pictures, I had no clue how to work my camera, always shot on auto, made heaps of mistakes and took some truly awful photographs.
I’ve been there, feeling that paralysis when you look at the instruction manual… I’ve been there when you look at other people’s photos and think, ‘I could never take a picture like that…’

But after years of practice, I’ve learnt that some of the complicated stuff I thought would transform my pictures actually makes very little difference at all… While other incredibly simple things I overlooked for years actually make ALL the difference.
I’ve been running training and workshops for professional photographers for many years, but have lost count of the number of times keen amateur photographers have asked me if I have anything similar for them too, sooo…

LOVE FOR THE CAMERA CREW!

Sara
“How did I EVER survive without you?!!! Honestly I feel like before this course I’d just been using my camera completely blind!!! I feel even just 3 videos in I actually understand my camera and its functions much more than I have in a year of owning it. They’ve been great to follow and I’m so glad I signed up. I’m so excited to learn more and see how my images develop as I go. Thank you, thank you, thank you ?”
CAROLINE
“The Camera Crew has inspired me to pick up my camera every day. Prior to joining, my camera lay dormant in its bag for most of the month. It has given me a clear direction of how I can improve and gain confidence in using my camera. The pictures I’m now taking have already boosted my social media posts’ engagement for my business – and I feel like I’ve not even got started properly.”
GEORGINA
“I’m loving the Camera Crew, it’s motivated me to learn about my camera and pick it up more often. It’s also made me think more creatively about how I can compose images. I really love that you can go at your own pace. I feel like I have learnt so much already and have only done the first module. So looking forward to what is to come, thanks Anna.”
NATALIE
“I’ve been following Anna for a while and loved other content she’s shared around things like organising and printing photos, and family photography tips, so I didn’t hesitate at all to sign up when she launched Camera Crew! I’ve done a one day photography course before so know the basics of using my camera in manual, but it had been gathering dust again. I’ve found revisiting how to use the camera on this course to be useful, but most of all the tips for being creative, how to use light and compose images to make such a huge difference. It’s really re-inspired me to pick up my big camera again, and I’ve already got some beautiful shots of my kids and our lockdown life that I love. The community is great for seeing what others are doing and prompting me to get out and practice too. Thanks Anna!”
