I met a kindred spirit in Grace. I am known amongst friends and family for my huge appetite and can easily out-eat pretty much most people, male or female. My parents have always joked that they used to have to feed me with two spoons as I would scream so much when the spoon left my mouth that they would have to have the second one all loaded up ready to shove in there straight away. I  spend most of the day thinking about food and planning what the next thing I eat will be; eating is genuinely one of the biggest pleasures in life for me. Meeting Grace was like looking in a mirror – the sheer joy and excitement on her face when she saw her dinner is something I can totally identify with, I absolutely loved photographing this beautiful, happy little lady and her lovely parents. As chef Julia Child once quite rightly said (a quotation I display proudly framed in my own kitchen), “People who love to eat are always the best people.”
