London wedding photography – a trans-London adventure from Notting Hill to Trinity Buoy Wharf!
Emma and Nicolas’ incredible wedding wasn’t just a wedding, it was an adventure! In 24 hours I travelled on trains, taxis, boats, and buses, and had a total blast along the way. As many of the guests had travelled from abroad to attend the wedding, Emma and Nicolas wanted them to get to see as much of London as possible in the process, so they planned the logistics of the wedding in such a way that a city tour was thrown into the mix as well! Such a lovely idea. The wedding started in West London in Notting Hill, then everyone piled onto Routemaster buses to Westminster Pier, where we all boarded a boat that sailed east down the Thames, ending up in East London at Trinity Buoy Wharf in the Isle of Dogs, London’s only lighthouse.
Given that Emma and Nicolas are both very talented and successful artists I was so flattered and happy they asked me to take their photos, I absolutely loved every minute of the day, it was such fun and a total treat for the eyes. Although I don’t usually use second shooters, as I was over 6 months pregnant at the time, I took along the wonderful Jordanna Marston with me to help out – she was absolutely amazing, not least for helping me work out how to eat an artichoke.
Here are some of my favourite images from the day. Huge congratulations to Emma and Nicolas!
