When Jessica and Edd got in touch to say they wanted me to photograph their wedding at Manchester Art Gallery I was over the moon – I’d been there before as a gallery visitor, but never to shoot a wedding… it’s such a unique and gorgeous space for a wedding and I knew it would be incredible to take photographs there. What was also a first was photographing Jessica and her mum having a wedding morning run at Dunham Massey – some lovely mother/daughter bonding time and such a nice idea of theirs.

Jessica and Edd really couldn’t be a warmer, more friendly couple. We clicked instantly like old friends, and their friends and family were exactly the same, such sweet, welcoming people. I even got cajoled into participating in the group shots and was sent copies of the pictures after the wedding. The main thing I loved about the day was how full of laughter it was… they were just an absolute pleasure for me to photograph, and made my job so easy. Huge smiles, loads of giggles and everyone full of character and personality. I absolutely loved this day.
